I know they were terrible times, but they make everyone who reads about them better for it.

For what’s it worth, I know what it feels like to have a wire put through a vein, mine went up into my heart and it was the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever felt when they pulled it out. I was sedated though, I can’t imagine how it would have been without medication. You are a strong woman.
